Love Actually is all around

The other night I was sat here on my own with only the cast of Love Actually to keep me company. At 10 to 8 I had finished my uni work for the day.
I thought to myself, is it sad that I am on my own? Am I lonely? I rang Ewan to tell him about my situation.
"I am going to be on my own tonight...my flat might is at her boyfriends house...well his parents are over..."
It's not like she has never gone to his house and left before, but that night I was feeling partiuclarly down. Espeically as Ewan told me he was off out with his friends.
When I put the phone down, I burst into tears, "I think I just miss him," I said to the empty room, the cast of Love Actually not paying me any attention.
I am not lonely. I'm not sat here alone every night. Flat mate doesn't leave me all the time. In fact it is nice just to have time on your own, to watch silly christmassy films and reflect on life with no distractions.
Icronically, at this point, when I thought this, Colin Firth said, "Alone again...naturally" whilst sitting down at his typewriter in a cottage, in France. I always read that writing is a lonely process...okay I was reading too much into the moment.
I havn't always had the need to have loads of people around me. I like my close friendship with flat mate, we don't have to be in each others pockets. I have made lots of friends in Uni, I just don't have an intimate relationship with them all. Like at home, Adele is my best friend and have other friends from Sixth Form, yet I am not really close to them. They are just good to have a laugh with. Because that is all you need sometimes...Just to get drunk and laugh. I hang around with Ewan's friends a lot too. They make me laugh too as they are all so boyish. Most of the time I just shake my head and mumble "boys".

Back to Love Actually- my favourite part has to be when all of Colin Firths book flies away in the lake and his cleaner jumps in after them. After, wrapped up in blankets, sat next to the roaring fire, because of lanaguage barriers they find it difficult to talk about the genre of the book Colin is writing. I love it. But it comes close to when Hugh Grant is dancing to 'Jump'. Any world where Hugh Grant is the prime minister must be the best world everr!
